Time travel is a common dream event. It rarely has a time machine. Rather, the action in the dream simply unfolds in another temporal epoch, in the past or future. Such dreams are often either romantic episodes that we have experienced in the past, or hopes that we hope to realize in the future. You may find that such a dream is generated by your desire to identify yourself; with people of certain customs of a certain time period or to be influenced by certain events.

If you spontaneously dream of moving back through the river of time, it is most likely a dream of romantic fulfillment. It seems that the "good old days" creates in the imagination images full of heroism, nobility, morality, and in general a life that arouses your admiration, although it does not completely correspond to reality. Sometimes you feel that your personality has the kind of boundaries that might belong to a pioneer, a statesman, or some other stereotypical figure in history. Most often, time travel is strictly connected with a certain archetype of the current character of the dream.
